TEXAS MODEL

The Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs, Fifth Edition, (Texas Model) is a resource to help students benefit from high-quality and effective comprehensive school counseling programs. It aligns with Texas state law governing the work of school counselors. The Texas Model outlines a process for tailoring school counseling programs to meet the varying needs of students in school districts throughout Texas. With this resource, a school counselor can learn to use campus-specific data to identify the unique needs of a campus and design a comprehensive school counseling program to meet those needs.
