The Texas School Counselor Evaluation & Support System (T-SCESS) was created by the Lone Star State School Counselor Association (LSSSCA), the Texas chapter of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). T-SCESS is aligned to the ASCA National Model and uses the same language, components, and supplemental evidence documents as the National Model. The ASCA National Model is an evidence-based model created “to standardize school counseling programs across the country” and serves as “a framework of components that all school counseling programs should exhibit” (ASCA, 2019, p. x).
